OMG check in post *dramatic music*

Let's start with us first. So far, we have 65+ sign ups. OMG. Which is AMAZING! 5 ART sign ups. 1 member who is doing art and fic (!) and then we have almost 60 (!!) FIC sign ups.

This is super amazing. What's even better - is that out of all of our sign ups right now, 60% of those that did sign up to do a fic or art are BRAND NEW — meaning they have never participated in DRIZZLE before!

*mind blowing*

Makes me wonder … 40% of our sign ups are returning members … where are the rest of the folks?!

10% of the sign ups are femslash, 26% are HET, and 57% are slash — the rest are undecided, undeclared, or GEN.

Now that we have all this information, let's talk about how you are doing…?

What is HP Drizzle about?
It's an anonymous prompt-based fest. Authors and artists will create a Harry Potter piece that involves weather in any kind; for example, it could be Character A and Character B kissing in the rain or Character C building a snowman in their garden. The possibilities are endless. We accept Het, Femslash, Slash, Gen, Three/more-somes, along with angst, dark, fluff, hurt/comfort, humour, etc, etc…

RULES

♠ This is an anonymous prompt-based fest. What does that mean?

A prompting post will go up on the 1st of April. LJ and DW users can leave up to 10 prompts per user. Prompting will close on the 15th of April.
+ If you do not have an LJ or DW account or if you want to prompt anonymously — then you can email us prompts at hpdrizzlemods@gmail.com and we will post them for you.
+ Each member is allowed to post up to 10 prompts.
+ You either prompt on the DW post or the LJ post.

Every year the Drizzle fest is getting bigger and bigger! This year was our FIFTH year (!!!) and yes, it was the biggest yet.

We had OVERALL 74 sign ups, and 58 executions! Before the reveals, I'd like to take the time to thank our pinch-hitters who stepped up to the plate at the last minute and gave us a fic or art, especially: rzzmg, carpemermaid, roelliej, snax0!

Out of 58 fics and art, we had:

3: Fic and Art
10: Art
45: Stories

A total of 5 Femmeslash, 6 Gen or No Pairing fics, 18 Het, 29 Slash.

For Slash, the most famous pairing (can you guess it?) was: Harry/Draco with 12 16 submissions (a number that's gone UP since last year, when we had 15) [Includes fic and art]

For Het, the most famous pairing (really, no shocker here) was: Draco/Hermione with 11 submissions (a number that has gone UP since last year, when we had 9) [Includes fic and art]

Most popular characters: Draco: 33 fics/art, Harry: 23 fics/art, Hermione: 15 fics/art, Luna: 7 fics/art

…and all of this was brought to you by two mods that have a lot on their plate. Dig was out of the country and away from the computer for the first 2 weeks, and for the last two weeks, RCQ has been handling some personal life arrangements. We are all very ready to say goodnight and good luck!

When reveals are up, we will open up our DRIZZLE COLLECTION on AO3 so everyone can post their works there if they so desire. Which, I know, all of you do. Yes, I've got the memo, thanks.
