Drizzle Fest 2018 Rules and Guidelines.
What is HP Drizzle about?
It's an anonymous prompt-based fest. Authors and artists will create a Harry Potter piece that involves weather in any kind; for example, it could be Character A and Character B kissing in the rain or Character C building a snowman in their garden. The possibilities are endless. We accept Het, Femslash, Slash, Gen, Three/more-somes, along with angst, dark, fluff, hurt/comfort, humour, etc, etc…
RULES
♠ This is an anonymous prompt-based fest. What does that mean?
A prompting post will go up on the 1st of April. LJ and DW users can leave up to 10 prompts per user. Prompting will close on the 15th of April.
+ If you do not have an LJ or DW account or if you want to prompt anonymously — then you can email us prompts at hpdrizzlemods@gmail.com and we will post them for you.
+ Each member is allowed to post up to 10 prompts.
+ You either prompt on the DW post or the LJ post.
A full list of prompts will be posted a day or two after the 15th. Claiming will open on the 20th of April. Each person can claim one prompt at a time. Each prompt can only be claimed once for fic, and once for art.
After you have made a claim (on the claiming post which opens on the 20th of April), you have until August 15th to submit your fic or art. If you finish early, you can submit early, and make a new claim. NEW: We have an AO3 collection for the 2018 fest and participants will email us the header and you can post your own fic/art on AO3. If you don't know how to do that, or need help, do let us know. We will help you upload it. If you do not have an AO3 account, then we will only post your fic on LJ/DW, if that's what you want. You will need to add the mod account from hp drizzle on ao3 as "co-creator." This information will be provided to you upon submission time.
♥ Anyone can make a claim. You do not have to prompt to claim. You do not have to claim to prompt.
♠ Fic and art may contain het, slash, femslash, and threesomes of all ratings. All genres are welcome in this fest! Angst, flangst, fluff, hurt/comfort, romance, drama, humour, etc.
♥ All stories submitted must be unique to this fest.
♠ This fest is anonymous, please do not tell anyone other than your beta(s) what the specifics of your story/art. We want the submissions to be kept as secret as possible. Once the fest is over, there will be a big reveal and authors/artists will be able to respond to all comments as well as post their submission to their own journal!
♠ All entries must be at least 1,000 words in length and beta read. There is no maximum. If you do not already have a beta reader: contact us immediately and we'll try to find you one. Alternatively you can try![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
hp_betas or hp_betas_wanted. Mods reserve the right to proof your submissions and return your fic/art to you if it's a total mess that clearly hasn't been looked over.
♥ As soon as your entry is complete and beta read, feel free to email it to us or upload it on AO3 yourself and email us the header with the link. If you're emailing us your submission, fic should be sent in .docx, .doc, google document, .rtf or .txt. Art should be jpeg, gif, or png, please. (The subject of your email should read: SUBMISSION - ART/FIC by YOUR USERNAME - PROMPT NUMBER)
Example: Subject: SUBMISSION - ART by usernamedraco - Prompt S55
♠ Extensions will be judged on an individual basis. Try to give us as much notice as possible, we mods don't love last minute panics, it messes with our pretty schedules!
♥ Please let us know if you have to drop out of the fest. We will not be upset, you will not be banned from future fests; we just need to know ASAP!
