Hi everyone! So the prompt list is compiled and ready for the 2022 DRIZZLE FEST. You can view it ++here++. Claiming will go up on the 20th of April, Wednesday. All claiming is first come, first served basis. If you are planning on claiming on the first day, I would recommend that you please select more than one option just in case your first choice is taken.

Drizzle Fest is designed to be chill. So don’t stress out and talk to us if you are unsure about something.

Note, you can only claim one prompt at a time. If you claim 2, your 2nd request will be ignored. You can claim your 2nd prompt after you’ve submitted the 1st one. Claiming post is the sign up post. The HP DRIZZLE Fest welcomes all content and creative works as long as they are properly tagged on AO3 and listed (if needed) on the submission header. We know, and completely understand, that many fanwork creators are discouraged about participating in the HP fandom due to comments made by JKR, and have chosen to step away.

The HP DRIZZLE Fest is a fully trans- and queer-inclusive fest. Everyone is welcome here.

Like most other fandoms, Harry Potter as a canon/fanon/fandom grapples with various issues, including but not limited to transphobia, racism and other forms of discrimination. When creating fanworks, it can be helpful to keep various resources in mind, as well as doing additional research.

∎ Magical Trans is a community in the Harry Potter fandom for transgender individuals as well as cis allies looking to educate themselves.
∎ Writing with Color's Stereotypes & Tropes Navigation is one way to begin examining racism when creating fanworks.

It has now begun… Join DRIZZLE 2020 and soak in all the fun!

We are going to post every day – one or two (sometimes maybe even three) fic or art (or podfic) every day and weekly round ups will be on Sundays. We are hoping that the fest will run for five weeks. (FIVE WEEKS, YOU GUYS!) – as we are anticipating many fabulous entries in the rarest of rarepairs and the most infamous of the famous pairings (does that even make sense? Probably not).

PLEASE REMEMBER THE FEST IS ANONYMOUS UNTIL REVEALS WHICH IS MID OCTOBER. This means, you cannot be out on social media and repost your story or art somewhere else. Not until reveals and the final masterlist has gone up. If you do not understand this concept, please email your questions.

Note: Since I’m posting live, because I’m posting on all 3 platforms, posting times may vary. Sometimes posts will be made at 10 am EST, or 1 pm EST. I have very little control over life and natural disasters! I hope you’ll be kind.

(If you read a fic and feel like there should be a warning that’s missing - please feel free to EMAIL the mod account. Do not leave a hate comment on ao3). There’s no room for negativity here. Posting for the ever-anonymous, highly anticipated, and super popular (for some reason) DRIZZLE fest begins 1st September. We will be posting every day at least 2 entries per day and our weekly round up / reading day will be on Sundays. We have over 50 entries (and even more in the end as some folks are on extension -) The fest is running through September and early October – so scheduling is a humbling electrical storm. I try to be as transparent as I can be with our members, so I won’t be able to provide a posting schedule, as some would like to know when their particular entry will be posted. Just keep in mind that stories/art are, for the most part, posted in the order they are received.

We hope you enjoy the fest as there’s lots of favourite characters, popular ships, and rare-pairs in fic, art, and podfic. Excited, as always, to run this fest for the 8th (or so… I lost count) year. You can follow the fest on tumblr, dreamwidth, and livejournal.

Today is the last day to make a claim for DRIZZLE 2020. Claiming closes today at midnight / 11:59 pm ET (August 7, Friday). Submission due date is August 15 but extensions can be given for those that sign up at the last minute.

This is where you sign up to do podfic for drizzle.

The rules are simple. If there's a weather related fic you'd like to record and submit for the fest, please gain the permission of the original author.

Here are some general guidelines:

+ All stories must be in the Harry Potter fandom
+ The stories can have any rating and can be any pairing as long as the theme of weather is very much present in the story.
+ The stories can have any length.
+ The stories can be written by the podficcer themselves or by someone else (with author's permission).
+ The stories must be recorded specifically for the fest.
+ The Podficcers will not be anonymous. A masterlist will go up at the end of the fest.

1. Your fandom username (livejournal, dreamwidth, tumblr, ao3, etc...) - the one you use the MOST.
