If you'd like to volunteer as Beta reader (which would give you all our love and maybe a little thank-you surprise at the end of the fest), here is the place to sign up.

Simply fill out the handy form to create your Beta reader profile and leave a comment to this post. Writers, if you're in need of a Beta, check out this post and get in touch with the Beta of your choice. It's really that easy!

Beta Strengths/Focus (i.e. SPaG, Plotting, Brit-Picking, Characterisation, etc.): SPaG, Britpicking (to a certain extent). I can recognise/point out plot holes and OOC moments. I can fact-check if you need it (my wiki-fu is strong).
Beta Preferences (i.e. Characters, Genres, etc.): I prefer gen and het or even femmeslash to slash. I prefer fics to stick mostly to canon or have a good reason why not. AUs are fine, the wilder, the better.
Time You Need to Beta: 1 day per 1000 words (roughly)
Squicks/Content/Scenarios/Characters You Refuse to Read/Beta: I don't care for deathfic or canonically 'good' characters turning out to be evil/dark. I don't like reading Death Eater fic (although for some strange reason, Tom Riddle would be okay as is Lucius/Narcissa).
Other Notes: I don't have a lot of kink-knowledge. I can look stuff up on the net, same as anyone else, but I don't have a lot of first-hand experience

Send it along and I'll give it a try. If I find that I've bitten off more than I can chew I'll get back to you as soon as is humanly possible so you can find someone else. And would you be interested in beta reading my (mostly) gen fic? It should be slightly less than 1500 words. I'm hoping to get it done early Saturday morning.

Thank you so much! I'm still trying to finish it up, so I'll have it to you by the end of the day (it's technically super early morning my time). I try to edit mine pretty brutally before I send them to betas, so hopefully there won't be too much you'll have to change! By all means, send it along once you're finished! With that length, I should be able to get it back to you in the same day.

Yeah, that's fine. I picked up some Saturday overtime, but I still have all of Sunday.
